ruhig, schön und abseits der Tourihochburgen Positive: großer, gemütliches Bett, gute Dusche, entspannende Hängematten im Hof, Kochmöglichkeit vorhanden, kleiner Supermarkt in der Nähe, nur 5min von der Lagune entfernt Negative: Küchenequipment vermutlich ein wenig mager, wenn gerade mehrere Parteien im Haus sein sollten, Kaffeemaschine ohne Funktion (kein Fehler der Unterkunft, aber: denken Sie an genügend Bargeld und Sonnencreme - die Karte hilft in Xul-Ha nur in Ausnahmefällen und Sonnencreme haben wir keine gefunden)

peaceful stay in small town: lagoon nearby Positive: Quiet location in small town. There are several entrances to the lagoon about 5 blocks away, including the excellent Rancho Escondido (where river meets the lagoon). Place has 4 rooms, no staff on site (they will meet you or give code for key). There are hammocks and a basic kitchen. Very few restaurants in town, mostly barbeque. Negative: Kitchen was very basic, i bought extra items like knife, cutting board, towels: hopefully they are still there for the next folks! There were new pans. Departure (key) instructions could be clearer.

Positive: Clean, comfortable bed, good AC, small number of rental units in a lockable walled compound with covered courtyard and shared outdoor kitchen. Quiet neighborhood on secondary street. Sergio the site manager lives across the street and really took care of us. He fixed a toilet problem quickly and provided a hot/cold filtered water dispenser for a nominal 40 pesos fee. He also provided free good quality ground coffee and gave us access to a second fridge when the one in the outdoor kitchen wasn't working. We brought our own fry pan which was lucky since cookware and utensils were few. Sergio replaced the gas stove top's empty propane tank quickly. He kept the courtyard area very tidy. Xul-Ha is a small mainly undeveloped village. Best to know some Spanish. There are several 'beach clubs' with 30-50 pesos day fees for access to swimming in Lake Bacalar.

Lo recomiendo, opción BBB para Xul-ha Positive: La habitación es cómoda, amplia, con clima frío, en la cocina hay refrigerador y alacena para tu propio super, el wifi es apto para trabajar dentro y fuera de la habitación, la laguna de Xul-ha queda a 3 calles y hay 2 balnearios disponibles, hay buenas opciones para comer en el ejidito Negative: Los sartenes, estufa y vajilla ya está descuidada, pero cumple su función, a la estufa solo le falta limpieza y mantenimiento, en Xul-ha no hay oxxos y el super willis cierra a las 9am, en ocasiones hay ruido sobre todo los fines de semana
